01 / The opportunity

Create focus.
Deliver with accountability.

Arclight Digital Assets is a Miami-based startup project in preparation, focused on digital-asset research, financial technology and operating design. The planned Executive Vice President, Strategy & Execution role would help translate the project's direction into a realistic sequence of decisions, initiatives and measurable outcomes.

This is a strategic and hands-on mandate. Work with project leadership and relevant functions to assess opportunities, set priorities, clarify ownership and coordinate execution across organizational boundaries. The emphasis is on choosing the right work, making dependencies explicit and following through on agreed commitments. Functional operating responsibilities and decision rights would be defined alongside other leadership roles before employment begins.

The starting point is an early-stage project. Available funding, product readiness, specialist support and delivery capacity must be assessed before targets or external commitments are made. The role calls for judgment about what to advance, what to sequence and what to stop—not simply the production of plans and reports.

The planned arrangement is full-time and remote within the United States. Expressions of interest are welcome; no start date is confirmed. Arclight is not yet incorporated. The legal employing entity, eligible work-state arrangements, reporting relationship and final terms must be established in a written offer before employment begins.

The public website currently provides information and inquiry forms. It does not provide customer financial accounts, deposits, wallet connections or transaction services. Strategy and execution plans must distinguish research and proposed capabilities from services that are actually available.

02 / Your mandate

Make the strategy executable.

  1. Strategic planning and choices

Translate project objectives and research into a clear planning framework. Assess opportunities, assumptions, constraints and alternatives. Build concise business cases that explain the expected outcome, evidence, resources and conditions for proceeding.

  2. Portfolio priorities and resource allocation

Maintain a focused view of proposed and approved initiatives. Sequence work against actual funding, people and technical capacity. Recommend tradeoffs, identify opportunity costs and define what should be deferred or discontinued when conditions change.

  3. Cross-functional delivery

Coordinate initiatives spanning research, product and technology, operations, communications and relevant specialist support. Establish accountable owners, milestones, dependencies and acceptance criteria. Resolve delivery obstacles through clear decisions and timely escalation.

  4. Operating cadence and decision discipline

Design proportionate planning sessions, progress reviews and decision forums for a distributed team. Keep decision logs, responsibility maps and follow-up actions current. Make meetings useful by connecting them to decisions, ownership and completed work.

  5. Performance and leadership reporting

Define measures with clear baselines, data owners and limitations. Report delivery progress, resource use, risk and outcomes in a concise leadership view. Distinguish completed activity from demonstrated impact, and use evidence to recommend corrective action.

  6. Readiness, risk and governance

Build readiness checkpoints into strategic initiatives. Coordinate appropriate technical, legal, security, privacy and compliance review before commitments or launches. Surface unresolved assumptions and risks without implying that a review, registration or approval has already occurred.

  7. Change, collaboration and capability

Help contributors understand the reason for priorities and how their work connects. Develop practical documentation and handoffs, evaluate partner or vendor work against agreed scopes, and build repeatable delivery practices as the project develops.

03 / Experience & judgment

What you bring.

Core qualifications

  • Typically 12 or more years of progressive experience in strategy, business operations, transformation, program leadership or a related field, including substantial leadership responsibility. Equivalent depth of relevant experience and demonstrated results will also be considered.
  • A record of translating strategic objectives into cross-functional programs with identifiable outcomes, not only recommendations or presentation materials.
  • Experience in financial technology, digital assets, financial services, enterprise technology or another environment with complex products and material execution dependencies.
  • Strong commercial and financial judgment, including business-case development, scenario assessment, resource prioritization and the interpretation of operating measures.
  • Experience establishing initiative governance, accountable ownership, planning cycles and useful leadership reporting without unnecessary administrative burden.
  • The ability to lead through influence, handle disagreement constructively and make tradeoffs clear to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment around incomplete information, confidential material and the need for qualified specialist review.
  • Clear written communication and the ability to move between strategic analysis and detailed follow-through in a remote working environment.
  • Availability for a planned full-time remote role from within the United States, with working arrangements confirmed before an offer.

Experience that adds value

  • Building delivery practices in an early-stage organization or coordinating a significant transformation with limited resources.
  • Work involving product readiness, operating-model design, technology implementation or partner evaluation.
  • Establishing a strategy execution or enterprise program-management function, with evidence that it improved decisions and delivery.
  • Developing future leaders and practical standards for collaboration across distributed contributors.

We evaluate relevant work, judgment and results. No specific university, degree or certification is required by this brief.

04 / Candidate preparation

Show the decisions behind the results.

A strategy put into practice

An example of turning a broad objective into an actionable plan. Describe the alternatives considered, the chosen priorities and how you defined success.

A complex delivery challenge

A program involving several functions or dependent workstreams. Explain how you established ownership, resolved obstacles and handled a material change in scope or timing.

A resource or portfolio decision

A situation in which time, funding or capacity could not support every request. Explain the evidence, tradeoffs and outcome, including work you chose to stop or defer.

An operating improvement

A reporting, governance or collaboration practice that improved the quality of decisions or follow-through. Show the effect beyond the creation of a new dashboard or meeting.

Share only materials you are authorized to disclose. Remove confidential financial information, customer data and employer documents. Existing or anonymized examples are sufficient; candidates are not asked to produce unpaid custom strategy plans or perform live business work as part of this introduction process.
